Antique 1911 Northwood Strawberry & Cable Clear Glass Compote • EAPG Pedestal Dish
A beautiful piece of early American pressed glass, this antique clear glass compote was produced by the H. Northwood Company in its Strawberry and Cable pattern, introduced in 1911.
The pattern features raised strawberries, leaves and circular berry details around the bowl, finished with a gently scalloped rim. A paneled pedestal stem and flared foot give the piece a wonderfully substantial profile while allowing light to travel through the clear pressed glass.
At more than a century old, this is a lovely example of EAPG glass that works equally well as a collectible display piece or as a small pedestal dish for candies, nuts, trinkets or seasonal decorating.
