Antique Glyco-Thymoline Bottle with Ornate Glass Stopper • 6 Oz Embossed Apothecary Medicine Bottle
This antique Glyco-Thymoline medicine bottle is a wonderful piece of early pharmaceutical and apothecary history.
Made of clear glass with an embossed GLYCO-THYMOLINE name and 6-fluid-ounce capacity marking, the bottle has the classic rounded rectangular form associated with early drugstore and medicinal glassware.
Glyco-Thymoline was marketed for decades as an alkaline medicinal and oral-hygiene preparation by Kress & Owen, making surviving embossed bottles especially appealing to collectors of antique pharmacy, medical, advertising, and apothecary pieces. The product itself dates back to the late 19th century.
Includes a decorative glass stopper that appears period-appropriate and fits the bottle properly. Similar Glyco-Thymoline bottles are known with specialty glass and crown-style closures; exact originality of this stopper has not been independently verified.
