Antique Imperial Glass Marigold Carnival Glass Handled Nappy

A beautiful early Imperial Glass Company carnival glass serving dish featuring rich marigold-orange iridescence, vertical ribbing, a clear glass handle, and a striking pressed starburst design in the center.

Traditionally known as a nappy, this small single-handled serving bowl was designed for candies, nuts, relishes, or other small treats. Today it makes a gorgeous collectible display piece, especially when the light catches its shifting shades of amber, peach, pink, gold, and rainbow iridescence.

Imperial Glass introduced its marigold carnival glass in the early 20th century, and this form is consistent with Imperial’s classic carnival production.
