Vintage Arthur Percy Gullaskruf Amethyst Glass Bulb Vase • Swedish MCM Art Glass 1952

$98.95

A striking piece of Scandinavian mid-century design, this vintage amethyst glass bulb vase was designed by Arthur Percy for Gullaskruf Glasbruk of Sweden.

Originally designed in 1952, the vase features Percy's beautifully restrained bulb form: a rounded, weighty base rising into an exceptionally long, slender neck with a subtly flared opening. The deep purple-amethyst glass appears nearly black in lower light, then reveals rich plum and violet tones as light passes through it.

Its dramatic silhouette makes this a wonderful display piece even without flowers and a beautiful addition to a collection of Swedish, Scandinavian, or mid-century art glass.
