A striking piece of Swedish art glass, this vintage Kosta Boda “Rhapsody” footed bowl was designed by renowned Swedish glass artist Kjell Engman.
The bowl features an incredibly detailed sculptural scene molded into the glass, with figures appearing among trees and foliage around the exterior. Its heavily textured surface, irregular organic rim, and substantial pedestal base give the piece an almost carved-ice appearance that changes beautifully with the light.
Under blacklight, the clear glass also displays a bright green UV reaction, as shown in the photos. Because the exact glass composition has not been independently tested, it is described simply as UV reactive rather than assigning a specific mineral content.
